In Tom Ford
Kangana attended the Manikarnika bash hosted by Neeta Lulla wearing a Tom Ford harness tweed skirt suit with Tom Ford boots. Hair in a side-parted low bun, she finished out her look with smoky eyes.
She looked fierce. Gah, how much I love that blazer.

Now….. This is style….an actual personality….and a real fashionista…..thank God for her!!!
Sigh! How does she pull this stuff off? On most others, this would look comical but she carries it with great elan!
Its Tom Ford :)
who wont look good in it (if you got the right body)!
She had me at that jacket! Edgy and confident – totally love Kangana. Amazing!!
Edit: Meant blazer
I loooove the lip color! Adore it! Can someone id it for me pls? It’s a very earthy brown neutral lip. Kangana looks amazing!
Try loreal chocolate bisous , maybelline nude nuance, MAC film noir, chanel murky brown rouge. You will find a lot of browns like these in drugstore brands like sugar, lakme (shade name – dark brown).
Thank you! ????
The boots with the outfit feels claustrophobic. Its better styled on the model, allows the blazer to be center of attention
The blazer is super smart looking!
However, don’t most times there is talk about event appropriateness? Would this be considered event appropriate?
She looks good no doubt but like Sonam she takes herself too seriously and her looks come off forced most of the times.
IMO ( humble) for specific events it is sometimes necessary to take oneself seriously ….occasions where one needs to show PRESENCE…..
Really? We will have to agree to disagree :) I guess if I were to reword my thoughts what I was trying to say is Kangana is forever trying to make a point with her fashion. Maybe that’s what being a fashionista means perhaps, I don’t know. Sometimes one could just chill and not try to force the point. Just my thoughts!
Sure. But chill is what Katrina does with her professional outings. Not too exciting are they ? In fact forgettable to a fault.. And honestly, many time. KR also is visible just is in very casual “off duty” clothes. But she does likes to make a statement with her major outings. I like to see those fashion risks. Even at all points she makes a point. That is her personal style quotient I guess. Sometimes they are hits and sometimes misses. But BORING…..N-E-V-E-R.
Isn’t that the whole point of the fashion industry ?
This is a party for the crew of the film manikarnika. Is a saree more event appropriate here?! Just when you thought the could not get any more bizzare …
I assume this is informal party and to me her outfit is veering into a formal zone. A nice easy dress, or a nice separates was what I was thinking.
The way the model was styled was more formal but Kangana’s boots make it more casual, does not look formal to me. Also it’s edgy enough to be in line with the character she is playing in the movie. There isn’t a set dress code for a film’s wrap up party anyways so seems killjoy when you try to impose one ..
Ok sure. That’s your pov and I have my pov. I didn’t mean to come across so much as imposing as just wondering if what I thought was formal was in fact not so for the others. So apologies if I you thought I was imposing a dress code! What I did not appreciate so much was your automatic assumption that what I might have meant as an alternate to this was necessarily a saree, which your comment sort of seem to be implying. Again not implying that any outfit in and of itself has any more meaning and connotation than the one an individual gives to it. Just that your comment sort of came across as black and white judgemental! Anywho now I know how you feel and that’s your pov, shall I call peace out
Too much leather always makes me think bondage fetish. Though she looks good its better in a catalogue or shoot than a Jhansi Rani bash.
Well, it’s a bash and she is an actor.. Were u expecting an in-character appearance?
Except, this is not a Jhansi Rani bash (whatever in god’s name is that anyway?). Secondly, this outfit is far from too much leather because the blazer and the long skirt balances out the proportions. So bondage fetish, really??!!
What is a Jhansi Rani bash, really? Do you know anything about her upcoming movie at all?
Wow HHC commenters get worked up out everything. Leather and cinched reminds me of bondage. All she needs is a whip. Hell the skirt has the word harness. If it doesn’t look so to you to each her own and move on. Otherwise comments like this seems like the actress’ PR team.
Manikarnika is a movie on the Rani of Jhansi – the HHC blurb itself says “Manikarnika bash”. No I am not looking for in-character but it does look too much fashion shoot.
Calling this Jhansi Rani bash conjures up the image of a celebration of Jhansi ki Rani, which clearly it is not. This is a party for the crew of Manikarnika – film wrap up party if you will. Your comment threw a lot of people off .. bondage fetish, Jhansi Rani bash. Accusing of PR is lowkey gaslighting, IMHO. The freedom to comment is as much others’ as yours.
The poster behind Kangana says ‘Jhansi’, so where’s the confusion among a ‘lot of people’ who are feeling gaslit?
Having read HHC for many years I think I can sense the difference between commenters, stans and PR.
Know what you mean …don’t understand why it’s important that everyone agree with everyone. Can’t people just respect that this outfit might appeal to some and evoke a different reaction in the minds of others and those people are allowed to comment on it as much as anyone else…nothing to get thrown off by
I feel ya!
Love the outfit and her fierce fashion sense. In this case, she could’ve gone a little light handed with the makeup – pick the eyes or the lips.
+1 about the heavy-handed makeup
Something seems really off with the proportions.. either the skirt is too long or the boots needed higher heels.
Dark lips never work on her..just my opinion!
She looks good! It’s contemporary and totally suits her, more so considering the bold character she is playing in the movie. I love how she keeps changing her hair n keeps her looks fresh..
Loved the jacket and the shift. The shoes and stockings/pants so much.
*not so much
Didn’t like the make-up.
Love the clothes. I wish she did not pick those boots.
I like this look – it’s modern and accessible. Kangana always manages to look gorgeous and impeccable!
Not always. She has her hits and misses like any other. This sure is a miss. Whether a wrap up party or a Jhansi Rani bash or whatever, one cannot get past the heavy make up and claustrophobic styling. Fashion is not about piling on clothes, it’s about making sense. Sometimes our celebs take themselves way too seriously, that they miss the whole point about fashion and style
Slaying AF ! That blazer is to die for and the boots work with it too considering it’s winter.
It’s well styled on the model. Kangana’s make up is terrible.
She always wears a heavily Kohled look when she goes for Tom Ford
This is comical.
True
It looks like a skirt suit you’d wear to work (except no one would really wear leather straps to work..)
And with the white trousers it’s like a tweed jacket … country feel or outdoors…
How on earth is kangana’s outfit appropriate for a bash?!
And just because something is different doesn’t make it nice. It can often look weird instead…
LOVE the blazer. I don’t like the lip color on her. As someone said earlier – pick either the eye or the lip! Not both.
Guess she is showing that she is the boss of this movie and everything related to it…hence the weirdly formal outfit with disgusting leather boots.
I’m still weaning myself from the onslaught of glitter, zardosi, opulent silks, excessive sequins and bling-a-ling marathon and don’t question the event appropriate-ness given she is wearing trendy clothing. The minute airport looks become curated, all bets on “personal” style and event-appropriate clothing are off!
revolver rani vibes.. the make up ages her
I am the only one who couldn’t tell if this was Kangana …. what’s going on with the make up …
Hate those boots and those leather pants I wish she had skipped it
