In Raw Mango

It looks like Ms. Ranaut gave the GQ Best Dressed event a miss because she was spotted attending a wedding reception on Saturday evening wearing a Raw Mango lehenga with Jaipur Gems earrings and Needledust juttis.

At first glance, I thought the colors washed her out a bit and was yearning for a bit of color on the lip but the more I see the pics, the more I think it was a good move to go light on the face. Adding a dark lip color might have felt garish.

  1. She looks gorgeous like always! This new hair colour on her is a refreshing change & that smile just dwarfs everything else! This is a very beautiful outfit actually; a departure from usual vibrant ones and yet looks so elegant!

  2. this is charming, because of the color palette and the lightness of touch. that particular shade of blue is a lovely contrast to the light peach. plus it’s such a visual relief from excessive embroidery and crystal work everywhere. Kangana looks the best when she is nonchalant and all the elements of this look- the juttis, the hair, the earrings – stand out without looking ‘styled’.

  3. This woman! she may miss here and there, but she always sets herself apart from the herd, with her own interpretations of traditional and modern cloths. And rocks her looks with bare minimum makeup and jewelries! This outfit is definitely a refreshing change from overdone embroideries and excessive jewelry and make up.

  4. Lehenga doesn’t fall nicely. Looks more like an oversized petticoat. It’s probably not cut right. I like the colors which go nicely with her skin tone.

  5. That chunni looks like what a spider does to a fly after catching it. Not good at all. Kangana is my all time style star but this one is a mega fail.

  7. I love the colours and the dewey makeup, but the dupatta is playing spoilsport here. She could worn it the traditional way, falling on to her side instead of this.
