For an event in Cannes, Kangana picked a Halpern dress to wear. With her hair in a high ponytail, she rounded out the look with a pair of classic black pumps.
It was a party so sparkles worked, sure. The dress itself though, not so much. Kangana to her credit fared better than most others would have in it but, we are ready to move on to the next.
Looks like Kangana has taken the retro theme for Cannes outing a little too seriously. Agreed, she carries it off with her attitude, but this is a very passable look compared to her previous Cannes outings.
Just a hula hoop needed to complete the circus dancer look. Epic fail this.
Ha ha ha ha.
Remember Rekha hamming it in “Main haseena gazab ki” ??
Kangna in Cannes is that- especially that jumpsuit look.
I like the colors together but the design of the dress makes her left sleeve look like an arm sling.
Her face looks so beautiful. The lip colour is love! I would have liked the dress without the scarf around the neck (or is that a part of the dress itself?). Would have looked so much more polished! If that blue thing is indeed a scarf, I believe a better way of wearing it around the neck would have made this look stand out. With regards to this look, I definitely don’t dislike it but I certainly expected more from her!
@ Agreed. I don’t understand the dated critique a few people came up with. This is not really the red carpet; its an after-party look. The styling + makeup is fresh and modern. The blue piece is part of the outfit, and not a scarf, BTW.
Was this a -I Tonya – themed party?? Kangy’s Cannes looks started well but now have gone from bad to worse.
This is a joke, right?
She lost a bet, yes?
Too circus and very puke worthy! Terrible !
What a terrible outfit and do not get me started on the disco hair style. She should have worn one of her Dior outfits, would have looked much better.
Umm… on the fence on this one! Her make up is lovely!
Not a fan of the outfit but what a gorgeous face
Kangana has given us pretty amazing looks at this first Cannes appearance, and has set the bar really high hence this falls short. But I love this look as it is fine for the occasion in question – an after-party hosted by the corporate sponsor. Full points for the makeup and hair.
Reading some of the comments here, it seems like the readers do not read anything beyond the words “Cannes”. I am not sure in which universe it is considered appropriate to turn up to a late night party at a nightclub in a formal Dior outfit!
Given how well she fares here in India, I expected a lot more from her. The looks were supposed to be edgy, but are borderline tacky. Disappointed.
Was the party at an Ice Rink!?
I am so glad that Kangana chose to wear this Halpern dress from its Spring 2018 collection. Props to her/team for selecting this outfit – Michael Halpern just debuted his eponymous collection and its been a rage. Marion Cotillard wore this label to Cannes last year and Katy Perry to the VMAs. With the ’70s disco-inspired vibe, it is great for an after-party look. Also the makeup does full justice. Just gushing over that lipstick shade. She looks resplendent!
If Marion Cotillard and Miss Perry wore this designer – it does not automatically make this look work for Miss Ranaut. Your comment is a perfect example of the story- “ The emperor’s new dress”.
Her make up is great but her looks at Cannes have been a bit over the top and have come out as tacky – the easy breezy chill Kangana is missing somewhere.
