While travelling over the weekend, Kangana opted for cream outfits paired with her Hermès Kelly, wearing a patiala salwar kameez with an orange dupatta on the way out and a cream sari with a grey shawl on the way in.

Have a favorite? My vote went to the sari.

  1. Agree Payal, she is looking awesome in the saree!! Elegance personified. I am loving the salwar kameez too, she paired this dupatta so well. I need all of these in my wardrobe right now!!

  2. Seen her do the saree in that heiress lady way a lot now.. no fault but IL just pick the second look. A lot younger feels. The saree is boring but it’s just airport..

  3. That necklace with the saree is just too much for airport look… Have seen her doing the similar looks for a while now. Not a novelty!

    • She was flying out for a work trip, no time for change of clothes.

Speaking of the outfits, I love how Kangana rocks these sarees! Such a breath of fresh air the salwar kameez look is. Classic and chic.

  4. I particularly like that she is so poised, articulate and her interviews are so spot on. She proves that you can be smart and serious and also enjoy dressing up. Brownie points that her looks don’t give off that “designer loaner” vibe we tend to get from so many. I like very, very much!

      • I personally feel that from a fashion perspective, whether an outfit is loaned or otherwise does not matter as long as it is a well put together look. That said, celebrities are high net worth clientele that can afford to purchase (as patrons) designer clothes, for the fashion industry to be sustainable. So its nice when they do so instead of “borrowing”. Kangana’s wardrobe has a pretty neat collection of designer wear, some which she also repeats from time to time, or sometimes she wears loaned stuff. Or in this case, this saree and salwar kameez don’t seem like high fashion brands, and I won’t be shocked if she owns them and rewears them. That, to me, seems to reflect her fashion sensibilities more than her stylists’ and is also sustainable fashion. I really admire her approach! As for saving resources, isn’t purchasing and repeating instead of borrowing a better use of resources? Not saying everyone has to do that. Just that I am not sure if loaned designer-wear are ever sold, and if not, are they destroyed/archived/stored?

        • Loaned is usually sample pieces and press pieces circulated for promotional reasons pre release of new collections. They are not sold and go on dey cleaned from one person to another year after year till it’s good to go and ultimately discarded based on its condition. Mostly stylists are tapped to give these pieces to big stars by big brands.. on a relation basis with luxury stores so it’s kind of trusted to return back. I don’t know practices about Indian designers and smaller brands.

When you know your not going to wear it more than thrice it’s ok to borrow unless its for a personal collection then buying is obviously the thing. I think realistic production saves resources.

        • Also because your high net worth it’s isnt a great habit to buy everything you won’t need. You could rent/borrow as per usage also.
