In Gauri And Nainika

For her appearance at a recent soirée in Mumbai, Kajol picked a Gauri and Nainika dress to wear. Letting the dramatic sleeve have its moment, the actor wore her hair slicked back. Black accessories that included a pair of Intoto pumps rounded out the look.

Kajol wore the dress well. But given the voluminous sleeve, I do wish she had chosen pumps that weren’t quite as heavy/chunky; would’ve balanced out things nicely. It’s only a minor gripe though, Kajol made it work! That diamond cuff however needed to go; it instantly dated the look.

  2. I like the dress. On Kajol, big NO! Crux- never follow fashion blindly! The same dress on Diana, Deepika or Sonam would have looked fab!

  3. I believe it is about knowing and accepting your body type and style yourself accordingly. A well dressed woman or man, IMHO, is someone who knows to camouflage and highlight. Kajol for one does not do that… When you have bulky arms and calves ( I can relate to her), a tight fitting dress or bodycon which stops at your calves is the worst choice. One shoulder dress like the one she has worn places more emphasis on the uncovered arm, making it look bulkier. Clunky shoes are a big no when you have heavy calves!! Even “commoners” are aware of this!

  4. Hahaha. Clownfesting. She does not have the slightest clue on how to dress according to her body type. Body con with ruffles and chunky shoes. Lolol.

  5. What does this “wearing it well” mean? It’s like code… for what? This phrase appears o often, and usually the outfit is ghastly. The only common factor is the women seem to all be looking quite happy – is that what P&P mean? The outfit is gah but the wearer is rah?
