Couple Talk

Ravi and Aarti attended day two of SIIMA with the actor wearing a custom Vivek Karunakaran suit and Aarti a floral Karen Millen gown. Earlier in the month, the couple also attended the Filmfare Awards South in Hyderabad where Ravi was seen in a Versace suit and Aarti in a red Sabyasachi sari.

I wasn’t a fan of the hand harness on Aarti in the gown look but barring that, the couple looked great at both events. Loved Aarti’s Sabyasachi look!

  1. Most handsome couple in Tamil movie industry. Jayam Ravi looks great in both. She looks lovely in the saree and gorgeous in the gown. Aarti has great taste ( as seen from the arm candy & of course her style sensibilities;)).

    • Btw his name is Ravi. Jayam was the first movie he acted in and so the name Jayam Ravi. Do cover Dulquer & his wife from GQ event.

the saree is also beautiful and she draped it nicely.

sometimes the best way to do fashion is to leave the classic unharmed

  2. Do not like the gown at all. Reminds me of table cloth/curtains and I don’t care for the earrings. They look costumey at best, but I could just not be seeing them correctly. Dare is lovely, and she looks great.

His suits are horribly fitting, especially if the top one is custom made. There should always be half an inch of linen (shirt sleeve) showing, and the trouser cuffs are way too long. The grey jacket is much too short and both jacket and pants are too tight.

  3. She looks like a tiny exquisite princess. And she rocks both looks. But that Sabysachi saree is really cheap looking. The lace on it is really tawdry and ugly and straight out of Mangaldas market.

  4. She looks so gorgeous! The Sabya look is such a winner.
Please also feature Malayalam actor Dulquer and his wife Amaal from the GQ awards!! They looked gorgeous

  5. She looks fantastic in the beautiful red saree! Love the sari, jewelry and makeup.
The guy on the other hand, needs to lose the mustache and get a better fitting suit. Gaaah Indian men, step it up and catch up with the ladies already.

    • He can’t lose his mustache. They wont accept him in the South movies. Man = Mustache. Lol! The only actor who can afford to do that was/is The legend – Kamalhaasan. But then who can stop him. :D

      • True but there are a lot of guys in the South who have had enough sense to ditch the facial hair especially in Tamil and Telugu.

        • Plus 1; Ravi has acted in many movies without his mustache or maybe with a light stubble. If he has such prominent facial hair, it is likely for a specific role. Please don’t stereotype South Indian men; they effortlessly transition from clean shaven to twirly staches (and not just kamal; vikram, ajith, dhanush, surya, maddy)

        • Lol. There are some exceptions to the norm. But remember the movies which they acted without mustache were mostly never a hit. Maddy had his hit movies but never got successful. In all these years the number of movies he has done in Tamil is meagre. Vikram got his break only after Sedhu. Danush was only 16 when he came into industry and he has had his mustache always after his popularity. No stereotyping, I am from Kerala but I am more a Tamil movie buff than Malayalam. Compared to Malayalam movie industry of course Tamil movies are much better in terms of Mustache must. That is also because Tamil movie industry encourage actors (heros) from all other regions to act in their industry. Mainstream heros always sport a mustache. People like Abbas, Shaam never became popular though all their first movies were a hit because of the lack of facial hair – they were considered too vanilla to be a Tamil movie hero.

        • Cant talk much about Telugu movies but afaik the only mass hero there constantly without a mustache is only Mahesh Babu. In Tamil movies, very few act without a mustache that too only in movies which calls for it. Otherwise they all always sport a mustache irl. From the then Mgr to Rajnikant to now Vijay, every main stream hero always sports a mustache. Ajit became popular only when he added pounds and kept his mustache. Lol. Abbas, Shaam all packed their bafs off because they seemed too baby faced ( read as clean shaven) for a movie hero.
