Wearing a Prabal Gurung embroidered frock paired with white Louboutins, Janhvi was announced as the face of a beauty brand on Wednesday.
If it wasn’t already ID’d, I would never have pegged that dress as a Gurung and for a make-up event, her make-up was quite lackluster. Color me unimpressed.

it’s not the make-up or the dress, unexceptional though they are. it’s her, sorry to say. she doesn’t have an ounce of personality and all that expensive coaching by way of industry mentors hasn’t helped a bit.

I’d agree with that, except it’s that very rawness that has been sandpapered and polished out of her. Don’t blame her for it: she was born into it. Rawness implies a degree of unexpectedness, a spark, a drive, a hunger, even mistakes. She doesn’t convey any of that. Again, not her fault: she was bred to be entitled.

Janhvi looks so different from other bollywood actresses, thats what makes her stand out and special from others. Also she is very likeable.
In the second pic, seems like she’s wearing extreme push up bra. Looks so so so awkward. She’s a cute, fresh-faced girl. Why is the stylish going out of her way to overtly sexualize her?
May be she can take some tips from Aliya on how to dress up of one’s age

She’s become the brand ambassador of Nykaa after one mediocre film, and people say nepotism doesn’t exist.
Endorsements are an equivalent of stardom and public interest, not talent necessarily. There is a reason why Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not the brand ambassador. There is a reason why the Kardashian clan can make or break brands.
Here, she looks like Barbie in a very disconcerting way.
Agree with others…….there is always something lacking in this girl. She looks so awkward n uncomfortable in her own skin all the time. The poor fashion sense doesn’t help her either. Very lackluster personality. This is what happens when you try to forge ahead using everything else other than your own raw talent.
It reminds me of a dress Amal Clooney wore.
I feel she had more spunk before she came into the Industry, now she just looks like a newcomer from the 90s.
While I agree there’s a lack of presence, that she seems lackluster, let’s not forget. This is a grieving daughter. Every time I see her pictures, I see that she’s only half present, but I don’t blame her. She’s trying to keep busy and move forward.
That being said, the fashion choices for her are very cliché. Like here, they shouldn’t have use stark white pumps because that’s expected. A bright yellow sandal, even minimalist straps, would’ve shocked the color palette. Moreover, at a make-up launch, they should’ve tied her hair away from her face so you could see the make-up. Even more so, they should’ve done a shocking berry lip color or really interesting colors on the eyes. The problem isn’t that she doesn’t look good. No, she’s a pretty girl. It’s that she looks cliché. Every time.
There is no rawness and naturality in her. She is overly groomed.
