At the trailer launch of Dishoom, Jacqueline did a rather interesting look in a custom Deme top and metallic Asos skirt. Let’s just say interesting was my way of saying politely how horrible that top was. Between the shiny material, the take-a-legging-and-cut-out-a-hole-for-thumbs like design element, there was really nothing to like about the top! In fact, I really really hated it.
If the point was to show off Ms. Fernandez’ bangin’ bod, we really didn’t need this look. We already knew! :P
A more summery white off-shoulder top and I would be singing a completely different tune here.

I am with you, I did not like the whole at all. In a word, TACKY! The skirt still would have been okay with, like you said, summery/breezy blouse. Black colored blouse would have been okay too.
Her poses have become from annoying to intolerable. This should be wtheyyy
To say I hate that top will be a major understatement! She and her stylist need a mirror.
Jacqueline Fernandes is not really the best dresser of the current lot..in fact, some of her choices are just plain weird. This one tops that list. The skirt I quite like, but to team that with this black (I dunno Wat to call it) is just idiotic. There are ways to draw attention to a killer body, sadly this is not how it should be done.

I actually quite like it, if anyone can carry this it’s only her with that badass body . I can’t look past how toned she is

Exactly. You said it! She doesn’t look vulgar at all. No navel show, no cleavage show, no two inches too short skirt and no two small too tight a clothing. She looks smoking hot! Otherwise, people end up making even a saree look cheap with one boob show, tight blouse, wearing it too low and what not. So much of skin Jackie is showing, yet not an ounce of vulgarity!
That sleek hairdo only adds to her appeal. :)
Is she ok walking out of her car and into the public wearing that? She must be ok … And exude extreme confidence and constantly chant some kind of self-soothing mantra to keep her chin up in that! Kudos, i guess …

The same top with Palazzos , minus the choker and a different hairstyle would have looked very different. Looks like she is one of the girls hired to promote a beer brand or something.
She is a very attractive woman. But I find it almost jarring to see clothes like that in India. In the context of our weather, environment and everyday lives of the even financially and socially well place Indian women, it’s quite strange. And I don’t say this from a prudish point of view. Just that nobody in India actually dresses like that outside the little bubble of bollywood.
no one dresses like that even in America. But this is a Star, at an event, they dont have to dress like normal people. stage is there to show off! Thats the nature of their job.

This is horrible to say the least. Like some one else said above how weirdly that top is attached to the sleeves. Can’t just ignore all the bad elements. A good body is not enough; you got some serious pizzaz to carry that top which is actually really horrendous. Ban this thing whatever it is till it assaults our eyes agin. Fashion police seriously, guys got some work on hands!

Deme as a brand is quite tacky. So far all the Deme outfits I’ve seen here are more about revealing skin than about the design or style. There’s nothing unique or even sexy about the clothes themselves… they depend heavily on a hot body to carry it off.
