Wearing a green sari with a twist (literally), Isha attended day one festivities of IIFA Utsavam. As you can see instead of wearing the pallu the regular way, she wore it twisted around her blouse strap and finished out the basic look with statement Amrapali earrings and a silver bangle.
I may not like the blouse just because it looks too sports-bra-ish but she did look good!

I just dont get it when people cant wear a saree like the way its supposed to be… I mean how difficult can it be to pin the saree pallu on the shoulder instead of passing it through the blouse… I just feel they kill a saree when they drape it in such a fugly way… There are tonnes of ways to make a simple saree interesting getup, apart from that unsightly drape! And that makeup… The nose is shinning like the christmas tree light.

Sheesh why the kooky pallu drape? It doesnt add anything to the outfit. And why the shiny face makeup?
I’m not a huge fan of that draping but I’ll take this look over some of the other monstrosities we saw at the event.
Love the twist on the saree and the blouse! She has a stunning body that is suited for this to a perfect T. Love the pulled back, no fuss hair and dramatic earrings. Well done!
I am liking the outlook of this , she looks pretty too
rolling the pallu and making stand in one place is convenient but stuck it under blouse that is so tacky if it would have prestitched that would have made lot more sense.

I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to the pallu drape but this is one of the better ‘modern’ versions I have seen. She looks pretty.
I seem to like this twisted look. She looks great. And yes, she does resemble Amy Dastur.

Of all the versions and fusions of sari over the years , I would gladly take this one! Isha is also looking very pretty and actually doing a good job of selling it to us. And she looks like Taapsee Pannu at the second pic..
