The Newly Wed

You might think that this is a photo post Isha and Timmy’s church wedding. Well, that’s what I thought seeing Timmy wear that suit with a white piping (looked like he had another one-strand pearl necklace on) and Isha wear that all-white gown by Neeta Lulla.

But it isn’t. The new bride wore white to the relaunch party of hubby Timmy’s club ‘3 Flights Up’. They are such a cute pair but wear such dowdy outfits.

  1. Doesn’t Isha’s gown somehow remind you of Mahatma Gandhi? Neeta made a beautiful gown then wrapped Gandhi style satin dhoti around it to spoil it.

And don’t get me started on those bangles and Timmy’s love for piping on the suit!!

    • those Bangles are part of Punjabi wedding.. its called “chura” , punjabi brides r supposed to wear them without taking them out for quite sometime after wedding…

  2. Neeta Lulla and Gauri and Nainika’s western outfit showrooms should be destroyed…they call themselves designers? Soooo GAWDY!!! seems like the silky wrap around was added as an afterthought to give it a mermaid hem…and then she thought…o well…I can use up the remainder of the cloth as a belt too…Esha’s jewellery is the only saving grace…and Timmy needs to stop his obsession with suits with colored piping…he could have worn a white tee instead…

  3. What’s with all the bangles Isha’s wearing with a western dress?! Doesn’t look good at all!
Also I agree, Isha and Timmy make such a good looking couple with very blah taste in fashion.

  4. this is so similar to the Manav Gangwani green gown worn by Ayesha Thapar At Shilpa And Raj’s Reception… no creativity.

Not a good look for the newly weds…

  6. i think it’s unfair to fault her for the bangles…they’re the wedding bangles and many people don’t believe in taking them off for a few days at least

anyway it doesnt matter cuz everything else is pretty much a disaster anyway :)

  7. To all those ppl who commented on the bangles, please note that the bangles she is wearing are not ordinary bangles, they are called “chooda” and are worn by punjabi women as a sign of martimony, similar to mangalsutra’s being worn by women of other regions/ communities as well… a newly wed bride has to wear them for 10-12 days (minimum) post her wedding…

Wish she could have worn a sari.. then the jewellery would not clash so much !

  8. Somehow I feel that all-white gowns should be only reserved for the brides. Besides the color the gown doesn’t fare any better….looks like a mishmash of different pieces of cloths stiched together.

  9. I think she wore the set to match the bangles but the earings should have been enough.. and I seriously want to pull that thing wrapped around her in full bollywood sari rape mode..
