We get another sighting of a dress from Nikhil Thampi’s recent collection, a sure-fire celebrity favorite going by all the sightings on Huma at IIFA.
In the belted black gown, Huma looked great on the green carpet! Half-up hair, Valliyan by Nitya Arora cuffs on both hands, smokey eyes and platform peep-toes finished out her look. Minus a teeny red flag over the shoes, we have no complaints!

Love the metallic belt but am iffy about the sleeves. Some colour on her lips would have been nice.
She totally looks like Morticia Addams. And that belt is totally off. Just see what it does to her midsection.
err.. appreciating the effort, yet i cant feel the drama!! and oh yes, the pic of huma sure did bring darling morticia knocking upon my mind!!

I have a question though, am I the only one who notices the same idea behind all the dresses worn at iifa, a little bit of difference here and there but essentially three of the dresses on the iifa post use a metallic belt as the main feature. So horrible for the indian fashion industry with not an iota of creativity. wspecially considering i bought a much better quality and design dress for an event with the same belt and it cost me only 3700 bucks and trust me its so much better than the trash being worn here in the name of designer outfits. I think it’s about time the celebrities took stand and wore normal but still above average quality things which are not ridiculously priced until designers in india come up with something honestly original and not stupidly priced.
I quite like this. Although the sleeves are a bit much.

Hah, agreed! I feel P&P gives free passes to women who are on the healthier side be it Vidya or Huma. :P It’s like they are worried to get brickbats.
