Instead of wearing the brown, Freida went with a pink alternative of the strapless Oscar De La Renta gown.

P.S. Will post more pics soon.

  1. Beautiful gown! I think Gauri and Nainika have ripped this one off (Deepika Padukone wore something similar in blue at an award show early on in her career). Is it a rip-off?

  2. @Prem Rogue: but that dress was a monstrosity with so much bling and nets and what not and especially that fur thing ewww!!

Anyways Freida looks gorgeous. That pink is making her look like a chic barbie doll. She and Dev are looking fantastic!

  3. she looks dashing, and the color complements her complexion!
but just in general, shes great and all, but her part in the movie was very little, barley a supporting role and acting was not that good:/
so all this big deal around her is not all that worth it, but shes good to look at i guess

  5. Absolutely beautiful!
Prem Rogue: G & N ripped another one of Oscar De La Renta’s creation off for Deepika’s gown, Jennifer Garner wore the original. P ‘n’ P did do a post on that (I think).

  6. She looks so girlish and winsome! I love!
@ Prem Rogue: The gown think you’re referring to had a similar silhouette, but it had a quilted bodice and a more mermaid-esque skirt.

  7. she looks sweet but this gown would have worked better if she wore it in the US. people tend to wear edgier stuff in london. she looks out of place compared to what penelope cruz and angelina jolie wore. having said that, she’s talented and gorgeous and she should wear whatever she wants.

  8. She looks so sweet!!! And Dev too!!!

The pink is so delicate. May not be the newest design on the red carpet, but still. Would like to see the necklace up close.

On an aside, loved Angelina on the red carpet.

  9. love the pink!!! she looks exquisite!! props to her stylist, he’s really doing such a great job! i agree with prem- that dress by G&N does look like a rip off… who knows…..

  10. this outfit certainly does not need a necklace. the model just about made the slightly askew one work. Freida on the other hand, could have left the necklace home. It really takes away the frothy youthfulness of the gown leaving the whole look cheap, kinda like a tacky choice for a prom outfit. The side pose hides the necklace, so it looks good. I guess it is just a matter of wearing name brands for Freida, but accessorizing is also the key to elevating a look.

  11. Frieda and Dev are looking fab. Pink looks prom-ish as compared to brown. Admiring her toned arms in the second row, left pic…..

  12. Oh she looks BEAUTIFUL! Perfectly flawless, divine etc. etc.
Everything works wonderfully: the hair, makeup, jewels and that lovely confection of a dress.
I want her and Dev Patel to get married. They look so perfect together.

  14. This girl has nothing to do except visiting different functions in nice dresses, all thanks to her tiny role in a BIG movie! Wonder why anyone wud take her autograph! Anyways the dress is really nice, the colour i wish was brown or hot pink!

  15. I think the best accessory she wore to all the events is her genuine and most natural “SMILE”… Well, I wish some Ms A took lessons from her!

  16. Oscar de la Renta never fails to impress on the red carpt. His gowns blow me away everytime. Coming to Freida..she looks good but im not crazy about the styling, the hair the necklace and the make up :( It would be interesting to find out who are stylist is…it isnt rachel zoe is it (she puts everyone in oscar de la renta!!)

  19. i think she looks like a cake! sorry i dont agree with any of you… its too frilly and frou frou for me… a simpler cut would have been better and if she had to go with this then i would have chosen the brown one.

  20. i am disappointed with this one.

though better than golden globes, her hair is seriously BLEH!

the pink makes it difficult to see the detailing on the dress. she looks like a shapely cotton candy! the brown is richer and hair shud have been upswept!

  21. She looks very nice but it could definitely have been better :) She should have chosen the brown one which is more gorgeous . Her hair should have been pinned and that necklace has to go !

  22. Am I the only one who is getting a tad bored of her natural make up? Her make up is identical across all the events she attends, and I’d really like to see her up the ante and doll up a little bit.

  23. If she’d worn the brown one it would’ve looked too much like Jennifer Garner’s black one from last year’s SAG awards (I think that was when Rachel Zoe had Jen wear the black Oscar De La Renta)

  24. @Azul: I have a feeling that the dolled up look will not look good on her. She has a naturally beautiful face and too much make-up can spoil it. She has done lots of shoots with loads of make-up but those look good strictly for the shoots not for publuc appearances in my opinion. Anyways we have been seeing too much of her lately…hope she hides for a while after the award season dies.

  25. I love the dress and pale pink suits her skin tone. I think she should have gone with a brighter lip color though because pale dress, light makeup ends up looking a little washed out. The brown dress looks terrific too but better on the model’s lighter skin.

  26. I thought she looked lovely…ruffles, and in pink at that, ARE a bit of a risk but she pulls it off nicely.

Of course, it doesn’t matter what she wears if she just smiles- and she does a lot of that, it’s nice to see.
