Freida in Cosmopolitan: Decoded

Comment image 27

In addition to wearing Blumarine and Christian Dior, which we had already covered, Freida also wears Jasmine Di Milo and Etro in the March issue of Cosmopolitan. The shoot in itself seems very disconnected with mood in the Etro and Di Milo pictures being very different from the Blumarine and the Dior pics.

Wish Cosmo had picked a central theme.

You can read the March issue of Cosmopolitan India here. You can also, if you have 3000+ dollars to spare, buy the Jasmine Di Milo dress from LuisViaRoma here.

  1. can they please stop doing magazine covers and photoshoots with freida. she never looks as good in them, as she did on the red carpet.

  2. She’s also in Elle, styled by Erin Wasson- I knew some Freida shoot was missing here! pics are up on justjared. It’s classic Erin Wasson, too, and refreshing to see an Indian girl styled that way.

For what it’s worth, the Cosmo shoot actually looks MUCH better than the Vogue one- her skin looks gorgeous and glowy here, at least in the first two pics. If only it wasn’t for the weird Photoshop on the last two…

  3. In Etro, it looks as though the top is wearing her instead of her wearing the top. Menon pulls it off much better on the runway.

The Dior and Blumarine dresses are both gorgeous on the models. Not so much on Freida. Her “sexy” look ruins it.

Think she looks okay in the Jasmine Di Milo one, nothing special. The picture would’ve looked much better if she had smiled instead. Her smile has to be her best feature.

  4. Kind of agree with EM up there- the Etro top does work better on Lakshmi than Freida, but honestly anything’s better than that stiff, expressionless Photoshopped-to-the-max Vogue shoot this month. Not that this doesn’t have its share of photoshopping…and at least Cosmo could have let her smile properly! They’re not a high-fashion mag after all..

  5. Wow! Is that model Lakshmi Menon..same Lakshmi Menon featured few days back. She looks Va va voom here.
As far as Frieda, something is off. I am not able to pinpoint it. Maybe my eyes are just tired of seeing her everywhere.

  6. Gah- I cant stomach Frieda in these mag shoots. She’s a natual beauty, and these pictures always look very unnatural.

That aside, check out Lakshmi Menon working it on the runway! Love her!

  9. i am honestly bored with frieda i think beyond a point you must have something special for people to keep constantly looking at you. i dont think frieda has tht factor.

i am starting to feel the last time i enjoyed her look was in the sdm movie.

even the previous time when you compared her with lakshmi menon, lakshmi menon fared so much better than her. i wudnt know how anybody else might feel differently.

  11. These pictures of Freida are terrible and I always love her look. It’s like they go out of their way to make her look bad in magazines.

  12. Freida is a natural beauty. Put too much make-up in her and she looks weird. She is best when there is no photoshop and no harsh make-up! I have seen much better pics of her elsewhere!

  13. lakshmi looks hawt hawt hawt. and that look of hers could kill :)

freidas head in the first pic looks like its weirdly stuck to her body and rotated a 180 degrees, and look at her comments. trying to be very hollywood-ish..
    *yawn* ok whatever….

  14. it proves only one thing, after seeing frida in 1000 designer clothing, world class stylists can turn a roadside stone into a flawless diamond, girls need to invest in stylists not bags!

  15. @ Amara: I don’t agree. I do think Freida is beautiful, but I think that with the wrong makeup, and especially with all that photoshopping, they make her look bad.
