  1. It’s refreshing to see a natural pose; so much at ease, and at the same time having fun experimenting an intimidating designer label, where you feel the need to pose with a certain attitutue. She looks younger, and the shades and bangles give a slightly edgy look to soft feminine pink. Shoes could have been different.

  2. Such an imaginative fashion shoot…its chic, cute and fresh…not jaded like the Kareena shoot for that bigtime photographer. This shows that high-fashion clothes don’t have to be shot with rich backgrounds, OTT make-up and dour, pouty expressions..the spontaneity in this picture is refreshing!

  3. I really didn’t think much of her when her movie came out but she’s improved on further acquaintance.

I like her styling. Too much matchy matchy would have been boring. And EVERY single person in my uni is wearing those shoes these days..

  5. Don’t like the shoes but she looks cute and love the pose, her smile, bangles and the hair on her face. Styled well except for the shoes – I am sure they could have found better shoes.

  6. she looks good. But I guess any B-town girl who is not horizontally challenged will look good in that dress and those huge face hiding goggles

  7. I’m in love again! With that dress, of course!
Cool shades too on Sonam Kapoor.
    Not liking the shoes though.

  8. Its amazing that despite having such Indian looks (long hair, big eyes, etc) she can carry off a dress so well. She looks super-cute!

  9. love the dress, like the girl, hate the shoes. sonam reminds me of someone like kate moss or kiera knightley. someone boys like for their looks, girls like them because they are cool and gay men like them for their dress sense : )

  11. Sona always manages to shock you!! She is getting better and better and looking prettier and prettier…more gracefiul and more wonderful!!

What I like abt this photo (yes there are other photos…Filmfare Aug 08) is her attitude…the expression she has…along with the pose…i think those shoes go perfect with this pose and the feel of the picture. The school girl type shoes have this feeling of naivety…she is chic, stylish, bold yet she is a child who loves to curl her feet and make a silly pose! Ms Sunshine is what they called her and this pic is PURFECT!

  12. A Valentino or a Balenciaga, will not make a natty dresser outta you. This pretty dress is already accessorized with its details and trim, that minimal extras are necessary..shoes, yes, and a cute clutch are a must. If you need something more, a slim diamond bracelet OR pearls would have done the trick….why those bangles, they simply ruin the effect. Minimalism is an art that we desis must muster. Sonam ruins the effect with extrafittings. Again, fine feathers do not make fine birds, if the bird knows better, it can carry off even sackcloth and ashes with attitude. I love this site, but it seems to be a slave to names sometimes, and can overlook how you could ruin an exquisite valentino with overthe top extras.

  13. I know Kareena had been trying to be the best modelesque-actor. But I think Sonam takes the best pics in all the editorials. I have not seen a bad one yet till this day. I love how she looks different in every picture.

  14. Agree with the few people above. The Valentino is extremely pretty on its on. It doesn’t need the contemporary accessories to beautify it. Let us keep the femine look in its original form.

  15. …(if the photographer is a constant) it just goes to show the difference a model and her expressions makes to the photograph. Kareena, all dressed up and pouty, still looked boring as hell in the pictures, whereas Sonam looks vivacious and chic without trying too hard.

  16. SK has come a long way from her Sawaariya days. Love her in Valentino. Wonder if certain Mr Kapoor is regretting his decision?

  17. Sonam looks drop dead gorgeous. And she doesnt even seem to be trying too hard. Love the subtle styling and the photography. The stylist is Jayati Bose. She seems to do lot of work for the magazine (remember the Preity cover in a Gauri nainika dress).
