Divya Khosla continues her love affair with sequins and pink. Pretty woman. Tacky sari. Another soap missing another bahu’s wardrobe change.

  1. Sigh….Too much makeup …she is so pretty, she doesn’t need all that makeup…
P&P…who is the lady in black at the same event making all those nasty poses??

  2. Is that a blinged bra that she is wearing? Do you know where I can get something like that?
I like her ensemble except for the pink on her saree.

  3. She is so pretty, and can carry off a saree beautifully, but why so many sequins on the saree, and the blouse, if it can be called that. I have seen so many desi women in the US wearing similar but worse sarees and make-up, they all look like extras on saas-bahu serials. They just blindly copy things on screen, but do not realize that most of the bling-bling that looks great on screen does not translate in real life.

  4. The saree would have been so much prettier in ombre effect…more of the white and bits of pink…ahh…this is better than her earlier appearances..if the back of her neck is any indication…then that seems to be her true skin color? and she has loaddddssss of foundation on ! the sad thing is her bronzer on her cheeks is totally hurting the second pic ….

overall, she looks ok…better than what we expect from her…

  8. if she could teach me how to drape a sari that well, i’d teach her how class need not mean bling, and select something a little subtle

  11. please wear a petticoat , coz I can’t imagine how can one drape a saree with out that . Esp if you are a 10th grader who has no experience in carrying a saree.

  12. Jazz,
I agree with jia… Gotta wear the petticoat.. Less chances of you trippin on the folds of the sari… Also it helps enhance the silhouette…

  13. Jazz, you could try a specially tailored fishtail petticoat. Those are perfect for these clingy sarees. But yes, do wear a petticoat, unless you’re considering a khadi saree or something similarly thick!

  14. Jazz,

You must definitely wear a petticoat.

There is another trick; if you have to wear a sari for a short duration, you could try wearing leggings/tights/fitted trousers in lieu of a petticoat as they help contour the sari to your body quite like nothing else! (seen em on runways, photoshoots etc) Of course, you have to stay away from all liquids the entire time then! ;) This trick really works wonders though!

But going without petticoat or leggings or suitable innerwear is a no-no. No matter what the age, the type pf sari or occassion!
