At The Awards

Wearing a Raakesh Agarvwal skirt with a white button-down from Emporio Armani, Divya posed for the photogs while at the Filmfare Awards. With her hair in an updo, Farah Khan Ali Fine Jewelry and Jimmy Choo sandals finished out her look. While we get the look she was going for and do applaud her for trying something new, the look didn’t quite work on her. A less fussier updo and a more minimalist approach with accessories would have been a start.

  1. She could have skipped the necklace or gone with a necklace without the droplet. But still she is working the look. Gorgeous woman. White shirt and still no see through bra, that’s some feat.

  2. While I really don’t like this skirt this isn’t fussy styling by any means
And she wears the look with confidence
I can’t believe this gets a thumbs down while SK’s crazy lady ensemble gets a thumbs up with a tiny caveat of removing one of her 10 necklaces

    I mean what the what??

  3. I don’t particularly like the skirt. I would have really liked it if the bottom half of the skirt had been the same as the top half.

Overall though, I quite like he look. Very different from a regular sari/ gown look on the red carpet

  4. Love the clothes. Well-styled this would have been stunning. Wish she’d kept the makeup and jewelry minimal; the skirt is all the bling you need.

  5. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the styling of the outfit. I think it’s the flash on the skirt making it look super loud. I am sure it looked better in person/better photographs.

  6. why can’t these major award shows have a proper red carpet , good lighting and good photoshopped pictures ! Posing on road side , on cement tile floor , poor lighting … feels like they are just getting in Haldiraam’s !!

    • They do have one but the organizer, in this case, TOI/Filmfare didn’t allow other photographers to be part of it. They only allowed their in-house photogs to take red carpet pics.

  7. I think this is a ‘Julia Roberts at the Golden Globes 2014’ look gone wrong. The upper part screams “The good Wife” and the bottom is from some belly dance contest circa 1992. Not exactly a match made in fashion heaven.

  8. It’s a nice look. Adding a smile could have made all the difference. Yes, like another commentor mentioned, her innerwear is totally not showing, no seams or straps whatsoever under a white shirt – kudos!

  9. I loved this look, don’t know why. Something very different….almost chalk and (gold!) cheese that she manages to pull off together, and full on Glamour about it that works perfect for the FF event!…

  10. Once again, what a body, she can carry off almost anything. I am sure bollywood dress up their glamorous best for the biggest awards like Filmfare. But how sadly are they photographed, in parking spaces or at gate entrances, not even a proper red carpet. In India bad lighting, poor photography at the red carpet kills some good styling, we must say

  11. She’s a beautiful woman. Could have been a great looking actor. But here, it looks like she’s desperately trying to “fit in” with all her jewelry and bling skirt.
You have rich husband and great jewelry collection, we get it.
Get some serious style now baby, you’re beautiful!

  12. Something about this look is very “CAT” Like.. As in feline.
The hairstyle looks like Cat’s ear and dramatic eye makeup like Cat’s eyes!
Love her white shirt. And Oh man.. SHE IS SO GORGEOUS! I find Diya Mirza (NOT DEEPIKA) in her sometimes..
