Its a look we’ve seen done before (see here). Question though is, does Deepika work the look better or does Natasha?
This was a toughie, but we actually think Natasha does this one better only because she lets the necklace be the point of focus unlike Deepika who added on kundan earrings too. You?

I like deepikas
this is a tough one..their looks are very similar..but i think natasha is also wearing earrings with her necklace, but they are smaller..i actually prefer natasha’s necklace, but i like the way deepika carries off her look better..since deepika’s necklace isn’t as chunky as natasha, her wearing earrings doesn’t look too jarring..

For me it’s Deepika hands down. Natasha’s dress looks kind of cheap and her boobs are too big for a strapless dress.
Oh by the way, my mother hates women who don’t wear earrings…and I always told her you can’t do a heavy neck thing with heavy earrings or vice versa…but I see what my mother always meant…totally!
While I am not a fan of either necklace or of wearing kundan with formal (western) evening dresses, I do have to say that Natasha rocked the look. She has such a cute face!

Both beautiful jewelry. The two ladies have rightfully played down the dresses and let the jewelry do the talking. Deepika looks regal, beautiful.Natasha could have left the bracelets home, but works it with the clutch.
i think deepika looks better as she has a nicer silhouette and she looks so poised and elegant. natasha’s chest hasn’t been well supported.

Deepika looks beeaa-yoooo-teeee-fulll!! Its been a while since I’ve liked her. I love the jewelry and her makeup/hair — very minimal yet there’s an aura about her. it helps that she’s looking very natural and relaxed.
I just figured something…Deepika looks beautiful on runway because she is not smiling..and the same applies here. She is one of the rare people who look better when they are not smiling.
I liked her hair styling and choker – but did feel that the earrings made it somewhat OTT – is it a trend now pairing traditional Indian jewelery with Western wear? I like! However a black gown on a hot MUGGY evening in Bombay doesn’t seem the most practical option.
I prefer Deepika’s look, it is more elegant. So what if she wore a Kundan ear ring!!

Natasha’s kundan necklace takes all the attention.
I would say both. In Deepika’s defense her necklace isnt as large as Natasha’s is and therefore I think its ok even if she wore earrings to go with it. But on the other hand if Natasha’s had chosen to wear earrings as well it would have been way over the top.
i think the pt of focus in deepikas case is her face. she looks gorgeous and im not even her fan!!! in the war of deepika and sonam i was on sonam’s side totally…..hmmmm…might b time for a change for meself…..

i prefer deepika’s look.. natasha’s neclklace is too traditional to go with an evening gown.. it would look better on a kanjivaram. deepika’s face looks really nice.. love her nude make-up!

I feel as Deepika’s neck piece is not as grand as Natasha’s, the ear rings did add to the detail.
But Natasha certainly is looking nice in that extravagant neck piece.

I think both wear the look well. Natasha’s neckpiece looks better but Deepika wears the dress well…And her make up is flawless….
i can see what you’re saying about the earrings, but in the close up picture, i actually think that they enhance the outfit. i also think that deepika’s hairstyle and posture/demeanor is more regal than natasha’s, which kind of keeps with the outfit. she wins this round for me.

Natasha’s necklace is bigger so the focus is on that, whereas Deepika’s necklace is much smaller so wearing earrings are ok
@Rashmi you can get kundan jeweleryfrom most good jewelers in India, thats were I get mine anyway, but they start from a couple of lakhs and go up.
Rashmi, try chand begum ke jewels (you can see their stuff online) and Tanishq.

Deepika’s necklace is a little smaller so the earrings don’t overwhelm the look. I think Deepika’s overall look is a LOT better than Natasha. She kept her hair and makeup really simple and nude to let the jewels take centre stage. Natasha on the other hand was more made up so any aesthetic advantage gained by omitting the earrings is minimal at best.
On an aside where can I get the exact same necklace?? It’s amazingly pretty!

Deepika looks so statuesque and lovely. This really is a tough one! On one hand, the earrings right on top of the necklace is heavy, but she had on no other jewelery, whereas Natasha has the clutch, the bangles…but still looks fab…yeah, P&P, I’d say check back in with me for a verdict next week! hahaha :D
It’s definitely Deepika for me. To me, her outfit looks complete: the elegance of her gown and her hairstyle suit her choice of accessories. Natasha, on the other hand, looks like she picked out a cheap jersey dress, decided to pair it with some Indian jewelry, and quickly pulled her hair back and ran out the door.
hands down to natasha for this once she turned it up for herself!!! deepika on the other hand luks loaded wid de kundan …i think its cz she has a small face so a broad necklace and drop earrings r jst crowding it.. she shud hav gone for smaller earrings… n m sp HATING her hairstyle…. luks like a wig… neways I also think dat natasha’s necklace is 2 long for de gown shud not hav had de pendant !!

I dislike it when a necklace clashes with the neckline of an outfit. So Deepika wins in my eyes.
They both can afford to lose the extra jewellery. Deepika’s earrings & Natasha’s bracelets are too much.
I like Natasha here, Deepika looks a little boxy in this dress, the dress doesnt accentuate her curves but on Natasha it looks perfect. Deepika shouldve kept it to only the necklace, the earrings overwhelms the look.
