In Stella McCartney

For a recent Awards night, Deepika picked Stella McCartney separates. Dramatic earrings from Valliyan and Louboutins were the accessories of choice.

We are all for experimenting with silhouettes which also means when that does happen, we are bound to see a miss every now and then. Like in this instance. What may have been an intriguing, attention grabbing silhouette on the runway didn’t quite translate off of it and not even Ms. Padukone could change that. Wish the actor had chosen to work with either the top or the cuffed trousers. Both together, no dice!

      • This outfit looks awesome. were you looking for a a tighter pants. That is so cliche’d. The tighter pants will look like she just got off the boat. For heaven’s sake, it is a Stella mccartney. Priyanka your standards are sinking lately. I think you need a break to hone your skills of fashion policing.

        • What an awful petty comment
And I was the one who made the comment about loving this outfit in the first place. That doesn’t mean I question their opinion. Because it is just that – a freakin’ opinion!
The trolling on this website is depressing some days
Payal & Priyanka – I admire your ability to allow all these comments through, but no one would begrudge you some deletions.
The personal attacks are just ridiculous

        • I have always been against P&P’s love for everything Sonam from a long time. But even I wouldn’t say something like this.

As for Deepika is Hot either ways But her stylist needs a new career. This isn’t working out for her.

      • So true, the separates by themselves are fantastic, and look great on her too.
I hope this doesn’t come out wrong, but how wish she’s skipped those pants !! :P
        She looks beautiful here.

  1. In some pictures the outfit looked really striking and not so much in others. The top half is stunning though. And ofcourse that face <3. Waist up she cant be faulted. (yeah i just copied PnP)

  2. Her makeup is always so caked on these days. Where’s the Deepika that used to wear stunning gowns in jewel tones? This “try hard” Deepika is really killing me these days.

  3. All I know is, that no-one, YES NOBODY ELSE could have even thought of donning this atrocity as this woman did! I love her for that.

Btw P&P, you didn’t cover Alia Bhatt for this recent shaadi party of Geeta Basra and Bhajji and one other couple? She looked clownish. :P

  4. Ok…now I’m convinced her stylist out to get her. I didn’t realize there are outfits even Deepika cannot pull off, but they have been found. Those separates need to be separated!

  5. I found just the top half of this look somewhere in fb/twitter and thought, ‘Thank God. DP has come to her senses and looks like she might’ve even fired this Shaleena woman’! But my heart has sank seeing the complete outfit here!! Why oh why DP,why do u do this to yourself? This stylist looks like she is a closet DP hater that she is giving these nonsensical outfits to the diva!

  6. she is such a beautiful woman… but she needs to change her stylist. her desi looks are always on point, but her western clothes don’t work for me this days. sorry, my opinion.

    • I know right! Not being biased but that complexion was her usp. I heard she had to ‘get fairer’ due to Mastani being a Persian princess. I hope it’s short term.

  7. Not working. She should have gone just with the top.
I’m going to sound like a broken record but again have to mention I just hate those painted on eyebrows. They gave her face some kind of structure and looks better in photos, I guess, and yet they still look clownish to me.

  8. She shuld just stick to her boring sabyasacchi signature style than experimenting with fashion style ..atleast she looks stunning in those sarees…

  9. She is a beautiful girl but she’s just been looking silly during the last few weeks due to her or her stylist’s outfit choices. I just don’t understand why she hasn’t fired the stylist yet.

  10. I think this would have worked with a sleek ponytail. The earrings just dont work with the whole look. I love the separates though, even together.

  11. Hate to be the makeup police, but I want to comment because I don’t think this is her personal style. Between the instagram brows, the warm toned blush, almost cool toned fuchsia lip, and tons of highlighter on the cheeks (not just cheekbones), there is way too much going on. She has a gorgeous face and lovely skin, she can wear all of these individually and pull if off effortlessly – I wonder if she would wear this on a day off.

  12. She looks Awesome! This is the first look from her entire Bajirao Promotions etc I love and feel her stylist got right. Everything perfect and love her hair open- been a long time.

  13. Agree with you P&P. The two separates don’t belong together. Would’ve been a better look with just the top half..but even then it’s not really award show appropriate. Right now she just looks like the fourth sibling of The Burmawalla Brothers– Hussain, Abbas, Mustan and Mastani :P

  14. Western fashion is probably designed so that a) wearer believes they are super trendy b) the next generation can eye roll and say mum what were you wearing! 30 years on when there will be a feature on the tragic fashions of the 10s this will be there.
