Deepika and Ranveer also made it to the Ambani-Piramal wedding festivities and while Ranveer ditched Sabyasachi for Adidas tracksuit, Deepika still opted for a Sabyasachi printed suit. If the print feels familiar, it’s cuz Ranveer wore a vest version when travelling from Bengaluru to Mumbai.

  1. Ugly suit! The fact that the vest her husband wore a few days ago was in the exact same print, shows sheer laziness on part of the designer as well as their own!

  2. The print also looks familiar because you might have seen them on those jaipur bedsheets and bedcovers, commonly found at handloom and textiles exhibitions .

  3. Reminds of Fabindia…you get dresses, jackets, kurtas, bedsheets, curtains all in the same print! Maybe Sabya’s expanding his brand portfolio!!

  4. I find it really funny that while designers usually use celebrities to endorse and advertise their brand, of late, this has been kind of backfiring. I used to be a huge Sabya fan but now I feel like it’s repetitive, not worth the price tag, and not truly representative of the diversity of Indian textiles.

  5. I can’t figure out what this is….where does the kurta end and salwar start?
She likes beige and white, and is attending a wedding as an invitee. Really, I think we should back-off from these airport appearances.
I’m not just having Sabya-fatigue, I’m having a celebrity-wedding fatigue…more super massive lehengas, more unattainable and very gaudy looks which do not inspire worn with jewellery worth the GDP of entire nations! I almost wish for the days celebrities married in private, secretly and left others guessing if they were hitched or not!

    • Agree here. Never would have guessed it was a Sabya! The last few weeks have eroded most of the regard I had for the designers and fame-hungry celebs involved in these “excessive” weddings. It is also jarring how these ugly meticulously staged weddings functioning as personal advertisements are not being called out by the media because in spite of conflicts-of-interest, entertainment journalists (including film reviewers) were invited as guests to the Bhavnani Padukone wedding.

      • I don’t get how inviting them was conflict of interest. I invited my colleagues and manager as I am close..
Their wedding was indeed private .. They invited rest to their reception
