At the Giant Awards in Mumbai tonight, Deepika picked up an award wearing a Sabyasachi look straight off the LFW runway. While we do love the separates, adding that fur necklace made the look feel not just costumey but also very stuffy.
Also, while the hair and makeup was nice, it wasn’t the right pairing for this outfit. A glossy lip and a soft wispy updo might have balanced the outfit better. But then, we would have also picked a different outfit for the event as well.

I could have never imagined Deepika going with something like that! I don’t like any of it, and at first I even thought that fur necklace was a part of her dress.

TBH this doesn’t even look like Deepika, especially the 3rd pic. The outfit is indescribable, and not in a good way. I think Shaina NC’s expression in the last pic sums it up :-)
Sabya, her make-up artist, her hairstylist…why do they all hate her!?!
Its all too much and too wrong. And that outfit is plain ugly…bad mishmash of colors, glitter, embroidery, prints. And if all that fur around her neck is a necklace, I can’t think of any outfit, however simple, that the necklace would go well with. Sorry, but even Deepika cannot save it.
Where does the necklace start btw? Is the glittery collar part of the necklace?

omg !!! I could not believe my eyes. May be this a theme event everybody has to dress up like ‘Giants’, hence the costume dress with the fur necklace.
If not. This looks too costumey and Yes, not adding the necklace and changing the make up hairstyle would have made a huge difference.
The intricate work on the top is extremely beautiful.
As for the makeup,her beautiful natural dusky complexion would have done wonders to the outfit.

Anaita – COME BACK!!! Man, just the way DP looked during her Cocktail-YJHD days were amazing. Now, all her appearances are simply underwhelming, with this one trying to yank my eyeballs out.

This is atrocious taken to another level. I am not surprised Shaleena chose this outfit out of Sabya’s rest of the amazing collection. Only she is capable of doing that. But what surprises me the most is she is still hired by the likes of Deepika and Katrina. Disappointing!
