It was a two outfit night for Ms. Padukone on Wednesday who started her evening in a white Rahul Mishra sari and then changed into a black Amit Aggarwal gown. When it comes to Deepika, she rocks a sari just about as good as a figure hugging gown and so that wasn’t the issue here.
Loved the sari instantly. But, as much as as I loved that gown on her, the eye-makeup seemed a bit off here. Just me feeling that way?

She’s pulling off both of these looks with panache! Methinks you nitpick too much sometimes.
The white saree and overall styling is soo good.. cant find issues in make up as well.

The eye is clean and simple… Guess you are missing her statement deep matte winged eye. But this is a good change considering how hot Bombay has become over a week’s time
Everything is great and she looks lovely but DP WHY THE HAIR. Why must everything be poker straight when you have such voluminous beautiful hair.
No, she doesn’t have voluminous hair. She has thin follicle hair. Ranveer has thick follicle hair.

Thin hair follicle can’t be “voluminous”. “Voluminous” hair means Sangeeta Bijlani, Dimple, Twinkle has it. VOLUME
Yeah, you guys nitpick a bit too much. She is looking great in both. Just because it’s an Amit Aggarwal gown, the hairdo or the makeup doesn’t have to always be “edgy”. Plus it’s good to see her in a subtler eye make up as compared to the raccoon eyes that her make up team seems to favor.
And don’t you always say “it’s good that she kept everything else simple to let the gown be the highlight” or something to that effect for outfits that have a lot of drama? :)

total nitpicking. She looks like a goddess in both outfits… if anything the saree look has the severe hair but it seems like we have to accept that as she loves it so much.
I hate her hair in both, but love everything else about both the looks.
Hey p&p- just a suggestion, when you point out make up issues, it might be nice to have a close up of the face. I don’t see anything wrong with the makeup here but makeup is a large part of fashion, would be nice to get those closeups.

The gown looked great from the front but horrid from the back. Too many pieces stitched together at the back. Sari wasn’t exceptional for me.

She looks fantastic in black, and the white! Nothing to fault, in fact the subtle make up is gorgeous.
Neither look works for me! The hair is too severe and I really don’t think this severe Chipku hair suits her so I really don’t understand her obsession with it.
As for the saree and the gown, both or nothing to write home about. I am actually scratching my head to see what I am missing here that everyone else is raving about.
+1. I think she just dresses so badly in recent times that maybe people’s expectations have lowered by a whole lot.
That saree is not an AJSK? Some week this is… An AJSK gown(Nicole Scherzinger) does not look like one but a Rahul Mishra’s looks like one!! The first thought that came to my mind when I saw her in that saree was why is she torturing herself with that heavy saree in her slim slender frame. Maybe the fit of her blouse is to blame.
Also I thought usually we tie our hair this tightly in a bun for weddings and events after we have had our hair washed. But why do the Bollywood folks turn out like they have emptied an entire can of hairgel and then wrap the bun ?!
Cant seem to find anything off with the eye makeup. nit-picking much? She looks super in both the looks. If I have to point out something, it would be the hair…I find her flat hairstyle which she sports 99% times so meh.
There is no novelty to the looks. Somehow whatever she wears she ends up looking the same. I don’t know if it is styling or the way she carries herself. But the bigger issue here is that she looks extremely tired and weak. But then who wouldn’t be exhausted if you are married to Ranveer. :p
And what is it with her new found love for pursed lips. It just looks weird. makes her look skeleton-ish.
On a side note- PP how come we have no ‘just for grabs’ / ‘contest time’ anymore
The white sari reminds me of her reception one… too monotonous- at least she could have had a pink lip or a bindi. the looks are too wane.
There is nothing special about either of looks. PR army should take a break. She is not looking like a goddess or even particularly gorgeous.
Come on DP, obvious comments are obvious. for Goddess level looks check out Kiara and Rakul from the day. DP should get some tips.
I guess the events were back to back. What she could have done, wore the saree with fresh waves hair and then tied it in bun with AA dress. She has done the same style million times. Bored now. But then, she is beyond stunning. Lucky you Ranveer.
The pictures in the sari that you have posted don’t do any justice to how good she looked. There are so many better pictures out there in which she looks ravishing.
People are so venomous is their comments! P+P we love your blog and people need to remember that it’s a blog! Everyone’s choice need not converge, how about we all keep it fun and relaxed and not take out a knife at every post. Surely there are bigger battles to fight!
