Deepika on GQ India: (Un)Covered

Putting Ms. Padukone front and center amongst other winners of GQ’s Men Of The Year seems rather unfair, doesn’t it? Is anyone else even registering besides Deepika in her cream Elie Saab. :P

  1. N whats with the photoshop to lighten skin color.
Ajay devgan looks as light as Aishwarya Rai and Deepika is naturally dusky also comes off as very fair !!

  2. What’s with the over spilling of cleavage, awkward pose and p****-high split like ‘s’ mentioned above..well nothing beats the GQ 2010 edition though, that was truly a horror..

  3. Geez! Tough crowd!
She looks spectacular! Everybody else looks like a piece of cloth around her!!
Yes, the skin lightening is a sore point. BUT have you seen that body!

  4. Looks like the push up bra is working overtime here! We get it. u have a flat chest and long legs. The men look more suave and classy by a mile.

  5. Wow, that push-up is pushing up right to her collar! And thank God for that shadow at the top of that slit.
Anyone else notice that awkward mohawk illusion on Rahul Dravid’s head?!

  6. There are three things wrong with this:

    1) the insane push-up bra
    2) the peek-a-boo crotch-high slit
    3) her awkward pose makes her legs look a lot more stubby than they are!

  7. Why is putting Deepika front-and-centre ‘unfair’? Should glossy men’s lifestyle mags be taking a stronger moral stand on the important issue of giving greater front-cover space to boring bearded men in tuxedos?

    Do tell.

  8. I am sure Deepika got paid a motza for this and is doing it of her own free will.

But to be honest this is no different from the Lana Del Rey cover for GQ. Memo to men who are the target audience for this and keep this going. A semi clad lady on the cover amongst clothed men is as regressive as a Sean Connery era James Bond or Mad Men. F….ing do better than this.

  10. Even with the obscene pose, the rather awkward slit and the lost looking men crowding around her, Deepika totally works it and manages to look hot. Only her.
