In Brandon Maxwell

For day two of her red carpet appearance, Deepika sported a Brandon Maxwell one shouldered gown wearing it with a top bun, platform velvet green Chloe Gosselin sandals and loads of diamond jewellery from DeGrisogono.

She looked statuesque and quite the diva and we sure loved! Check back later for more pics from the red carpet.

  1. Gosh-how stunning is she? ALL her Cannes looks have been fabulous but I think this is my favorite one so far. Hair, make-up, gown and jewelry-all look great; yep not costumey and over the top. Also love the color choices! She can’t go back to Shaleena after this great run!

  3. Such a glamazon!!!! With that towering figure wearing that royal a colour, she looks flawless! I’m blown away by the perfection of this look. Whatever I’ll say will be an understatement.

Still, all in all – Thank you for making us proud DP. I love you woman! Your confidence just dwarfs everything.

  4. A gorgeous look. Not too keen on the shoes but overall she looks like a greek princess . The makeup is nice ..even getting used to the eye shadow. It has drama and elegance. Deepika had poise and held herself really well. Def must be amongst the top 3 best Cannes looks thus far.
The jewellery is lust worthy. Those ear rings r just stunning. A beautiful look which deepika has carried off with stunning results

  5. I just love her eyebrows here..natural and Beautiful and also the idea of skipping on falsies. The Indian makeup artists Always make her eyebrows thick and it doesn’t look natural at all.

  6. She looks stunning. That color is all kinds of fabulous on her. I somehow feel it shud have been more fitted at the waist, but I am just nitpicking. This is a high drama look.

  7. She’s stunning but the dress left me a little underwhelmed after last nights. I wish it was a more high profile designer for her Cannes debut. It was just too plain and boring for this particular event. Wish it had been more dramatic. If you take the train away nothing to it- the runway piece is without. Her makeup hair jewellery all fabulous. I think she needs a stylist whose more international or who takes more interest in her.

  8. I agree with Shanaya that this dress is boring. Of course she’s gorgeous and I root for all the Bollywood stars at Cannes, but this is generic and she hasn’t gotten any attention on fashion blogs while Fan Bing Bing and others look beautiful and interesting and get more attention. Deepika does look best in simple but there is simple and interesting. Also this is way too matchy. Now fashion is about complementary and contrasting colors. Green eyeshadow and dress and shoes is boring.

Btw fashion blogs that feature priyanka frequently and aishwarya at past Cannes never show Deepika or Mallika. Even xxx promotions they showed ruby rose and Nina dobrev but not her. I wonder how she could make more impact? Maybe more personality so she’s not just a pretty model-type.

    • She was featured in quite a few best dressed lists for Cannes; she was on People, Elle, NYMag and Vogue Paris. So she has definitely made an impact.

Also, Aishwarya has been at Cannes for 13 years and PC is more popular in the US thanks to her TV show. Deepika is fairly new and I would say has made a grand debut. A couple more years and she will be a known face too.

    • She looks amazing and every bit a Cannes goddess! Definitely one of the best. Look at People magazine website – they have already featured her in best dressed for Cannes 2017. Deepika just acted in one Hollywood movie. Give her time. Fanbingbing has been around for quite some time and so has Ash.

      • +1. Ash commands the kind of attention she does at Cannes because she has been there for the past 15 years i guess (of course she is gorgeous too ). As long as Deepika treats us with such looks, i am good.

  9. Another fantastic look. She nails it. Minor gripe the shoes. Barring the shoes the rest is just glam glam and glam. Great going. Like someone else said really proud of her for managing to live up to the huge expectations.

  11. all her looks for the Cannes event were fabulous. This is understated glam done right. She is a stunning woman! I hope she sticks to Elizabeth Saltzman forever!!! I think she consciously stayed away from big big dramatic pieces from Ralph &Russo or Eli Saab to avoid comparisons.

    • With a body like that, I don’t think Eli saab or Ralph and Russo would do justice to her. I would love to see her in a Versace or a Balmain. That’s more her style.

  13. She has some obsession with one shouldered gowns… it does not look bad but then nothing new and exciting also.. too safe and a little snoozy… even the jewelry is so boring

  16. This look has blown me up so much , the rest of cannes 2017 looks of BW actresses seems tasteless. (TBH)
This one define the aura , regalilty with too much glam (star power) and also defining innocent look all at same time! :)

  17. Absolutely stunning. Statuesque is the right word. No wonder this landed her on the best dressed lists for Vogue and Vanity Fair – in her first year as L’Oreal ambassador no less! Great job, Deepika and Elizabeth Saltzman.
