Blackout

While she opted for white prior to her wedding, it’s been black on black, of late, for the newly wed, Ms. Padukone. Should we cue the post-marriage jokes, Ladies and Gentlemen?

P.S. This post is completely in jest and I would love to hear some funny retorts about life before/after marriage!

P.P.S. Many of you ask us and wonder if celebs really wear their outfits throughout their long haul flights. Here is an example of when they don’t. While flying out before New Year’s, Deepika was seen in a sweater and skirt (better pic here) but you can see her in a crop top and drawstring pants later in the airport lounge.

  1. If this was people magazine, then these pictures (including the ones with Sanath Jayasuriya) would be filed under stars they are just like us segment- the second stars think nobody is watching they change into the comfiest clothes. Also stars they are just like us because when celebrities see other celebrities they want to take pictures with them and post it on social media-so bizarre!

    • Guess this is how the athleisure fad works and glad that this is not the Hollywood PR propaganda that is People mag because no matter how much anyone promotes athleisure, people don’t really travel in those homeless type gym outfits like the second picture .. Comfort and style are not mutually exclusive. … That said, even the first look is nothing to speak of just like Deepika’s general lack of style quotient. Both these looks are WTHEYY.

  2. As a reader, my interpretation on Deepika’s styling is that she wore white prior to the wedding as an ode to the “virginal white” theme. After 25 weddings, 37 receptions, 152 costume changes and the bling overload, courtesy the guests from the Bollywood brigade, I am not surprised she decided to go all black post wedding. The new bride needed a palette cleanser. Coz if you thought she had to put up with guests who went OTT at the wedding, she now has to put up with Ranveer Singh whose wardrobe probably covers every shade in the Asian Paints color palette with the addition of glitter and sparkles.

  3. I think she looks great. She looks her best when she doesn’t try too hard. That being said I would wear black after an Indian wedding to hide all the extra kilos from the non-stop bingeing.

  4. Is there really a before and after marriage life for stars? I thought the only thing that changes is they keep on setting couple goals on Instagram while their respective teams cook, clean, baby sit, and style and photograph them

  5. High time airport looks stopped being a thing (also calling paparazzi to click said airport looks)…it would only be worth it if the looks were actually good…but clearly they are monotonous and celebs are starting to become a joke because of it…

  7. Both disasters. The black pants in first picture are a camel toe waiting to happen. For all the hype that surrounds her, Deepika’s fashion sense is non-existent. But Bollywood is such a place where right connections can get you fashion icon of the year award and such likes which is totally disconnected from ground reality. what a joke all this film industry is!

  8. Just leave your hair open, woman. Please don’t do a tight-chipku center part ever again.
You can wear a sack or a cotton ganji and look every bit the diva you are!
Case in point: Airport pics on the far right and left.
I’m happier if she goes towards more pastels/monochrome looks over the razzle-dazzle of her better half.
On life pre/post marriage: I think the husband has undergone a bigger change. He used to consider clothing size as a upper-limit on who can wear them. For eg. a size 36 would mean all people with waist 36 and below can buy them! The first time we went shopping, he was enlightened! LOL.
