In Atsu

Ms. Padukone’s earlier appearance was a tad short of perfection but this one in the Atsu was a ten on ten for me. Even though I find the black tights under the skirt jarring, it’s a look she wears well.

My only gripe, she probably should’ve saved this look for a major event than a guest appearance on a TV show. But, with Anaita as her stylist, we really don’t have to worry about that now, do we? We are guaranteed to see great outfits one after the other.

  1. A tad too voluminous I think. Only Deepika can carry off a brave combination like this! The dress is interesting, but something about the stitch around the waist is not right.

  2. I love all ur posts but I am wondering why you feature mostly bollywood actresses.
I understand your blog is about fashion. Are there no Indian women outside of Entertainment profession that wear their clothes well?

    • That’s a good point. Maybe writers or news anchors? Or celebrity chefs? Even politicians? Some of Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi’s outfits have made me envious.

  3. OMG. you guys are soooo partial.
This is super bad. The skirt is so weirdly shiny, especially jarring against the top.
    also, the pointy pointy shoes.
    yuck.

  4. I like the idea. but not the execution. The top skirt was constructed horrible. It looked like a quickly stitched piece of tacky satin. Had the skirt been tailored better, a better fabric, better seams and stitching, I would have loved this look

    • A photoshoot is a different ball game. You can pose nude and show off your legs with a long slit. Can’t do that on a fugging show, can you? Or at any public appearance for that matter.

      She looks damn pretty here.

  5. Not a 10/10 for me. Styling well done. But the top is an over-kill. The houndstooth plus that tribal grey embellishment…too loud and incongruent with the general tone of the styling!

  7. Dear pnp, please id the lehanga worn by Krishna Shroff to Salman’s diwali bash. I’ll be ever so grateful for it. I want it for an upcoming wedding. Please guys !!

  8. Oh what an eyesore. Looks like she draped an elastic band over her hounds tooth dress and then tucked in meters of orange satiny fabric!

Its just her smile and flawless make up that makes this slightly less cringeworthy

  9. This is a poor imitation of a Dior Pre-Fall’13 number! And the black embroidery makes it seem like she’s sporting some serious chest hair. Not a 10 on 10 by any stretch of imagination…

  10. I don’t like it at all. The skirt should have been a different color. The contrast is so too stark between the top, skirt and skinny pants.

  11. Looks like some tailor in a rural area was put to work. I can’t believe that some one would give this outfit a 10 on 10! Personally, I would not even get caught dead in this one.
