In Jenjum Gadi
For her appearance on the sets of a television show (to promote an upcoming movie), Deeksha picked a pretty blue Jenjum Gadi dress.
As lovely as Ms. Seth looked waist up, wish the dress fell a couple of inches longer (like on Candice on the runway)… It’d have worked a whole lot better. Also, those ballet flats really brought down the look a notch or two.

Although it looks ok but there is something about this look that does not work for me..and i can;t figure out what it is
I agree the look would have come out very differently if the fit came closer to the ramp look. I also feel the blue flats are making her look too monochromatic.
+1
Different shoes would’ve looked so good with this outfit. The shoes are definitely the weakest link here.
Yeah agreed. I think the length is good on her. I don’t mind the blue on blue but wish it had heels.
In fact I think the length of dress looks good in her, she has nice healthy legs like deepika :-)
I may be in minority here but I think she rocks the look. Much prefer the fit on her than on the model. The dress is lovely and fit just highlights her curves in a very good way. I love the blue on blue shoes. I may not wear those shoes but I think she totally works it.
She looks very very good here…ballets flats included
The shoes just don’t work – ballet flats and that too in Blue again ..too much Blue going on :(
Can’t see anything designer about this dress….
she looks great! i just wish she had chosen different colour shoes!
I like the shorter length of the dress, particularly given the long sleeves. Makes it a nice balance for a sporty yet sexy touch
Heels would have been nice but it takes confidence to wear ballet flats and she pulls it off too. Love the color!
A bit off topic – I’ve been following this blog for a long long time and obviously very much enjoy it. You guys get some random flak for biases etc. but I think it’s usually silly – you’re human and you are allowed your personal opinions and biases. Particularly given this blog is yours
However, in the past few months I feel like more and more when a look is good overall there is often a “but”. Sometimes justified but other times has me scratching my head. I don’t claim to be a fashion expert like the two of you – but at times I seriously have to go back and look at the image and try to understand where the critisism could have possibly come from. (A tad too short/A tad too long/earrings too subtle/earrings need to be a bit more subtle/hair should be up/hair should be down/brighter lips/more subtle lips). And I care enough about fashion, hair etc. to know there are some basic things that make sense but often these little things are lost on me. For example, the point about the ballet flats here was TOTALLY valid. It’s an odd choice. But the dress being a bit too short – Didn’t get that.
I am sorry about the rant and coming across as critical but as someone who has been reading this blog for a long time, the slow shift that I see with this is starting to feel tiresome to me, and at times a put off to coming back. Of course I havent been put off yet because I do love it, but I after seeing it over and over I couldn’t stop myself from giving feedback. Please take it all with a large pinch of salt
Thanks for taking the time… Appreciate the feedback.
As for the length on this particular dress, a body-con mini with matching ballet flats didn’t quite work for me. With a pair of heels, length perhaps wouldn’t have mattered. Just my opinion though! :)
I see that she has been favouring flats for this promotional tour (or maybe thats her general preference which i totally understand and respect). But it could also be because her co-star is short and as a newcomer didnt want to be dwarfed by her.
I saw this dress up close at the shoot and it just looked very tacky. And Deeksha looked really big in it. Even heels couldnt have saved this dress.
