In Shivan & Narresh

Wearing a Shivan and Narresh sari, Chitrangda attended the Elle Beauty Awards on Saturday evening in Mumbai. While she looked smoldering in it, I wish she hadn’t wrapped the pallu around her. It wasn’t long enough and ended up looking like she was wearing a furry coat which made it feel less impactful.

    • Me too! I find the sareee very interesting. And I think it was meant to look exactly like that, too look like a fur coat. I loved it and Chitrangada carries it very well.

I feel like if this was worn by Sonam people would be calling her a fashionista and congratulating on innovating.

  1. Instead of wearing some nonsense in the name of experiment/fusion/whatever, can’t these people wear “normal” sarees? Lakhs of women wear normal, regular sarees and still look very pretty. The massacre of saree is very unfortunate.

    • They don’t feature the actresses who wear normal saris from the regional film industries of India. If the Bollywood ladies wear this designer wear and look like clowns, then the bloggers think it’s fashionable and daily feature them.

      • No Amulya. They do cover actresses like Nayantara, Anushka Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Keerthy Suresh, Trisha, and even celebrities. And again, it’s not about south cinema or bollywood, it’s about killing the drape, elegance and grace of the saree
