i think shes so preety, whenever i look at her i’m in awe of her…i think its a combo of everything (body and face) but i think the best quality is the way she carries herself…she is so soft spoken and confident but never appears to sure of herself like some ppl (vidya balan, kareena kapoor) althuogh we love them for it…but yea and her clothes are tacky, so far she does dress up but never over the top…subtle and sexy…i hate seeing stars make a joke of themselse like amrita rao or those who choose to wear nothing malakia arora and her sister amrita arora

also agree with alisha, she will be someone like ash that people will mostly like or hate for looks, and they will do well in the industry regardless of flop or hit movies or strong/weak acting, simply because they are pleasing to the eye.
i feel she is toooo tall looking like shushmita, ash always looked very fragile and almost petite like even though she was tall to, i like that!

I think I hv said this before in here but once more wouldn’t hurt right? (heh) I just don’t find Deepika glam, sure she has a great bod (she posed for the Kingfisher calender after all) but when Saawariya n OSO came out I found Sonam to be just so much more beautiful like actually beautiful (not just pretty but BEAUTIFUL, in case u didn’t gt it the first 2 times :P) . I think it’s more the hype created arnd Deepika coz she did act in a movie starring SRK! She is jst basking in the afterglow!!

She looks very pretty in a girl next door kinda way and I love seeing an indian actress that can actually be described as dusky cos most of them – well the well known ones are becoming more and more European looking day by day, sometimes it feels like Bollywood has a secret factory somewhere where these barbie doll haired caucasian looking actresses are cloned and sent out to work in the movies. However I don’t think it will be long before we see the transformaton of Deepika into another bollywood clone – a la Bips and all the other initially dusky complexioned chicks!

I know a guy who said that he went out with Deepika when he was in school, but she was really ordinary looking at that time. Anyway, he must have been faking it…hhahaha!
I think she looks great! She’s so young, i am glad she’s not wearing oodles of makeup and glamor-for-the-sake-of-glamour kinda clothes – too revealing etc… CLASSY and cute but not beautful.
Melange- It does look as if shes had her nose done! I thought i was the only one that had noticed it.
As far as her dress sense goes its bleurghh..nothing out of the ordinary.

I agree with Anita. Deepika is young and I think she should continue dressing like this for the moment..well in my opinion it would be better for her career if she continued dressing like this. If she started to dress all flashy/glamorous right away I would get bored of her within a year or two. Right now she can still upgrade to glamorous in a few years when she’s evolved a little.
yeah i agree she’s overrated! I too find Sonam way cuter n more beautiful!! Deepika has labelled Sonam as just another celebrity child… i hate that conceitedness!

Jazz, I agree with you on the latter part. Deepika saying in an interview that she did all on her own with no background (she did take acting class, didn’t she?) when enquired about the rivalry between Sonam and her. I don’t know how nice and grounded she is, but I was taken aback. On the other hand, Sonam has always credited her father. I hope Sonam doesn’t change, she is good the way she is.
On a sweet and polite note, Deepika is beautiful as well.
