Haha love the mood-setting before the fashion line-up, it’s brilliant!
The last Emilio Pucci dress is so similar to the yellow feathered one that Naomi Campbell wore at Cannes.
The mini-trend straight from Sesame Street …Naomi Campbell was dressed as Big Bird, the Monique Lhuiller dress is a homage to Elmo and Pucci to Cookie Monster :)
very funny …. elmo..hee heee….. good one…
HELEN from INDIA : been there done that ! :)
I absolutely adore Helen. And for some reason I think Bollywood movies back in the day had much more substance than today- Helen, Zeenath Aman and the likes were so ahead of their times unlike today where everyone just follows what’s “in”
i beg to differ Helen and Zeenath were ahead of their times for INDIANS coz most of the country was not aware of what was going in the world fashion and most didnt care….ulike today where we can spot the look and compare with west!
So now if you look at old actresses considered to be ahead in game were doing nothing but same ..emulating west.
So all credit we can give them is that in times when sexuality and sensuality was taboo they dared and with class..thats it!
Ditto. Bollywood in 70’s was SOOO trendy and fashion forward. What a pity we failed to capitalize on that trend and switched to shady 80’s . Zeenat Aman, Helen , Parveen babi deserved global attention.
aah, helen. i so adore her. thats incredibly funny, with that scene from the birds, lmao. that movie was creepy. short story even creepier.
i am not a fan of feathery dresses, but that second dress looks so cute and fun, almost flappery.
