Sari Style

Giving us sightings of some gorgeous saris was Ashwiny, first in a black Paromita at the Big Zee Awards and then in a Medium By Riddhi Jain one at the screening of her movie, Barreilly Ki Barfi.

While I liked both looks, was drawn to the ikat + pink sari combo a wee bit more.

  1. The pink Maheshwari-ish saree is lovely. And she looks amazing in it. Not that she doesn’t look nice in the black, just, I would wear a wider-necked blouse, to show those collar bones off if I were her. This neckline is way too oppressive and is making her shoulders look slumped.

  2. while i love the fact that she has eschewed pan cake makeup (yay!!) am itching to apply just the teeny-meeniest bit of lipstick for the pink saree look!! theres no denying that she looks lovely.

  3. Hair needs some grooming at least a hair cut or a use of a comb in the pink. She looks nice in the black. These are sarees are regulars, I am not able to understand the greatness or the designer part of the sarees.

  4. Both the saris are pretty. However the effect of the pink ombre ikat is lost because of the sloppy draping. While at it , a wee bit of grooming the hair will also help. Kudos to Ausgwiny for keeping it natural and earthy though.
