After much speculation in the media, the confirmation came via both their twitter profiles. Yep, Anushka and Virat did tie the knot in Italy both wearing Sabyasachi.

Sight for sore eyes. And over styled sensibilities. The color palette is so fresh, modern, and lovely. There is that lightness of touch, a naturalness that is increasingly rare. They are blending into one another just as the occasion demands. Anoushka’s elegance is stamped all over. I will say this the most stylish, fresh and lovely wedding I have seen in a while. Probably will never happen in Bwood again.
While there is nothing to fault here. And both looked so blissfully happy and gorgeous. I will like to add that the colour palate they chose is what makes it looks serene and exquisite. Baring two or three Indian communities who go the white or light colour route, most prefer to wear colours that are traditionally accepted religiously or regionally. Of course, while Anushka is such a graceful gal, still the colour palate here makes it more angelic than if it was any other bright colours that are part of tradional Indian wedding.
Gosh! on reading again today my comment comes across as a bit negative, it wasn’t the intention. I love Anushka and wouldn’t want an ounce of negativity towards her esp at such an important occasion of her life.
All I wanted to reply was the last line of above comment as in why we may not see such weddings often in India/Bollywood.

They look absolutely gorgeous . Anushka is known for her elegance and simplicity and this has her stamp all over it as it should be. I love the hues .. She looks so cute as that blush pink is just perfect for her looks . The red saree is stunning. Sabyasachi is the King for a reason and just these 3 outfits tell you why ! A slightly stronger lip colour would have been nicer on Anu on the wedding day but all in all I think it’s one of the most stylish weddings we have seen.

I agree with most commentators..the colour palette is making it look all the more angelic. What would i not do to be a Sabyasachi bride! Anushka looks so happy and beautiful. The hydrangeas used in her hair complimented the look so well. Wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness!

When I first saw the photograph I was surprised by the very subtle make up, I just could not believe it, being so used to the OTT makeup by most brides. She looks just gorgeous, beautiful, elegant. A big hug to Sabyasachi for the beautiful outfits. Virat looks soooo very handsome. I also loved the jewelry.
The colour palette is so fresh and suits them both so well. The jewelry is so in-tune with the clothes, I loved the grooms accessories as well.
The best part? The whole ensemble was about making them look lovely and not about her figure…note how high the lehenga is tied, how discreet the choli is. And here, the severe bun, center part and bindi make so much sense!
