In Dhruv Kapoor

Skipped lunch? Anushka’s here serving up a denim sandwich in her Dhruv Kapoor separates. Us, we’ll pass… We seem to have lost all appetite.

  1. Am I the only one who thinks for some reason girls choice of clothes selection changes after they get married, you get better at your selection or you get bad with it!

  2. I always complain that she sticks to her safe choices of blue jumpsuits and pants, but if this is her idea of taking a risk, am not going to complain again….

  3. Sad to see you bow down to public demand and get mean in your posts. We love your take but not the mean edge it has now. You are beginning to sound like the show Fashion Police. Don’t lose your originality!

    • I don’t agree – their comments should be at par with our comments and if we can be critical, so can they. I mean what else is the point of a fashion BLOG if not to have an opinion? And the outfit in question is pretty ridiculous. Those cutout sleeves are just awful. Having said that, neck up Anushka looks flawless.

        • I did read, and pointed out that the outfit in question is pretty ridiculous, so I think the criticism is warranted. Also, how is sarcasm mean? There are no personal remarks here.

    • Looks like Sk is a late entrant. If you have been following this blog since its inception you would have known that the purpose of this blog was critiquing fashion of the high and might Bollywood celebs. Their no holds barred commentary was their USP which actually attracted Bollywood’s attention and made HHC so popular.

I am glad they didn’t feel the need to say “on anyone else it would have been overwhelming but Anushka wore her look well” or something to that effect. Glad to know the witty commentary is back :)

    • I don’t think there is anything mean about their comments here – fashion/clothes are ideas and all ideas are fair game for criticism. What should not be up for criticism are unprofessional/perosnal attacks about the people, their personality and physical appearance – but of course that’s up to p & p how to decide that. And there is none of the latter in what they write here. The readers have been vocal about coming here for their opinions and caustic wit, because if that’s not present and it’s just a regurgitation of who, where and what was worn, this is almost a redundant exercise.
This is how their comments have always been since the beginning, and I am really glad our voices were heard and they are back to their signature way of doing things.
On the contrary though, I do think the comments section on this blog has taken a different direction. People pass an unbelievable amount of harsh judgement in the guise of fashion, that even the biggest celebrities have not put themselves out there to receive. I don’t think anyone would ever be able to say these things in person to another individual, but this blog has become a safe space for these mean personal comments.

  4. I think the pair of jeans here is an overkill! She could have managed just fine with only the denim dress and flat sandals. They don’t look like “separates” to me.
