The very pregnant (awwww) Anu Deewan made an appearance recently in an M Missoni dress looking positively radiant. And on her arm was yet another Birkin, this time a JPG 2 Birkin/SB2 bag. The original JPG 1 Birkin/shoulder Birkin has now been discontinued and what Ms. Deewan has on her arms is the SB2. I Love. I want. I envy. ;)

hahaha agree. If anybody payys $10,000+ for that its purely because of the massive hype that surrounds the birkin.Its funny how easily people can be influenced into making over-priced, unsuitable or completely ugly fashion purchases. Case in point: MM saris, (some) leiber cluthes, jumpsuits on the wrong body type…Add the newly amputated Birkin to that list :-D

i can totally see our next Gen stereotyping us as label obssesed generation :).
I’m loathe to say this because I usually love Missoni (even if I find the brand rather unimaginative and monotonous) for how simple and classy their designs are. But this top is not working at all. Something about the black waist tie-up and piping, although it looks good in theory, translates horribly in person and makes the top look more fashion street (in Mumbai) that high-end designer.
And I’m kind of heart broken that the older version of the Birkin is no longer in production :-( I heart it so much more than the new one!!!
As for Anu, its not the most impressive of tops and the wrinkled, awkard length leggings and blah flats are not what I would have paired it with, but, she has pregnancy on her side and its hard not to find her completely adorable in this :-) I do wish she had chosen a more flattering pair of shades though ,these do nothing for her face.

this is atrocious. even for a pregnant woman it cannot be justifiedd, legging with possibly the least impressive missoni piece.
i dunno if its just me, but i find birkins only nice when their the regular size or smaller, otherwise they look like an empty bag dragged by petite celebrities. other than showing the world that ur up there their not much of a fashion item.

Even if you did not mean it to be insulting or offensive, it does sound a tad insensitive. While you dont have to gush over her just because she’s pregnant a little bit of respect for her pregnancy is expected
I think Anu Deewan did great. It’s an outdoor event..so the dress was fine. The ruched bottom leggings were a refreshing change from those all the ladies having been sporting. Way to go for being different…and that too during maternity
I can see why the Missoni wrap neck was an obvious choice for her, AND I give her more points for going with non-maternity couture!
Lastly, the birkin is cute. I like the new version..reducing depth is probably good for this bag (dont know for sure coz I never used one before :) )
Meanwhile, can someone please tell me why she wears two ankle bracelets on one ankle?
Those black threads to ward off evil eye :) a belief with most of the Indians :) I too have one on my left wrist :)
I have seen even Shilpa Shetty wear it and a lot of other celebrities…looks like a new thingi with these celebrities…before there was a phase when everyone was wearing those colorful armlets
umm i don’t think she looks “positively radiant.” I am glad to hear she is pregnant and by know means am I trying to diss her, but i don’t see why one has to be effusive about someone’s sense of style just because they are pregnant.

well…I think it should be her choice (fashion or comfort). besides whoever said you cant be chic, comfy AND pregnant?
you can be prego and still be comfortable and fabolous but this is just ugly!
as much as i hate tights this isnt ugly at all for a pregnant woman – ppl r normally double this size when they are preganant and can hardly wear the inhuman designer wears.
