It’s A Blackout For Anil

In all the excitement to cover Dev and Freida, totally missed Anil Kapoor.

Anil went all black at the DGA’s which would have been a different look if not for Raj Acharya (the first assistant director), who also wore something similar. In the end, the two just ended up looking siblings.

How about a nice rich sherwani for the BAFTAs, Anil?

  1. Raj Acharya and Anil Kapoor look like they belong to a band…and are going to perform at this event :-)
The facial hair, esp the moustache which is very uncommon in the west adds to it :-)

  2. @blewgenes I think it is the earrings paired with the black suit that makes Anil look like part of a band. Anil has a better fitting jacket and shirt…but his pants are another story….

  4. Anil Kapoor is no one film wonder like the other ones in the movie.. He certainly deserves the fame and is not at all acting out !
As I had noted earlier its about time you covered him.
Can you count how many years he has been making films and still looks the SAME!!

  5. Reshma we all know how great Anil Kapoor is! But he had been lying low on the film front in bollywood and slumdog millionaire certainly has put him back in the limelight!

  6. He had certainly not been lying low. He had three releases last year on the Bollywood front. The best and worst thing about Anil Kapoor is that he’s always so eager to give his best that sometimes people just miscontrue it as his lack of genuity. One thing I’ve never been able to figure out is how he manages to beat complacency and have that “never say die” attitude; although it doesn’t always come across, his hunger for appreciation and his love for cinema in general makes him endearing.

Er his releases in the past yr were flops! His film about Gandhi wasnt received well by the public, his daughter didnt get appreciated for her role in saawariya! he said himself that he felt let down by indian film industry..need i say more!
