After Adhuna, we spotted Amala wearing a kalamkari dress/tunic from Asmita’s Fall 08 collection. It doesn’t surprise us to see her don fellow Hyderabadi’s clothes especially considering Asmita styles her husband (Nagarjuna) in almost all of his movies. What does surprise us however is that we haven’t seen Amala wear more of her! :p
While we love the tunic/dress, we do wish Amala paired it with a different set of pants. The beige totally washes out the print and makes it all fall flat.
On an aside, Asmita’s Fall 08 collection with all of its stunning kalamkari pieces has been one of our favorites from all that we’ve seen of the designer, and though the collection may be seasons old, the work/craftsmanship itself is timeless and we can’t wait for more celebs to discover/be spotted in it.

Wow Amala after eons. I do like the beige pairing. She looks lovely in it.
P&P – I am dying to buy some of her clothes, but I cannot seem to find any website, Facebook page etc to enuire from the designer herself re stockists. Would you know? It’s not on your ‘Shop’ tab, but I would love to know where she sells in India, specifically Mumbai or Chennai.

We know she retails in stores in Hyderabad and some stores in Mumbai. We’ll try and update the Shop and The Directory section with her info but as for buying online, you can’t do that right now.

I would go sans pants all together, but if one is uncomfortable with showing one’s legs, one should have worn leggings (perhaps of a complimentart color) with the tunic

Payal is right. Asmita styles all nagarjuna’s dress. She is amazing.
Love the dress. I would prefer it witout the pants but if one does not want to show her legs then these pants are beautiful. Love the shape of those pants.

Absolutely love the tunic dress…I think Amala looks nice. However, I do agree that leggings would be great with it. Does anyone know if we can order Asmita Marwa’s clothes online?

Classy Amala. I am glad she didn’t wear leggings, which is a ridiculous look for anyone over 30, in summer, in public. She could have worn tight dark jeans though. Love the tunic.
agree that the leggings trend is very kiddish. dark skinny jeans might be better.
