In Manish Malhotra
At the trailer unveiling of her movie, Badrinath ki Dulhania, Alia was seen in a red Manish Malhotra gown featuring a cold shoulder and fringe sleeves.
Any other color and I might have liked the gown but in the red, it was a lot to take in. Also, the gold earrings felt out of place here. Dior double sided pearl studs would’ve worked better here. I think the aim was to do a modern desi look but I feel that overall it was neither here nor there.

I actually really loved the look – the asymmetrical top and the skirt/lehnga look. Really suited her! …curious to see what others think. Her make up and hair was also on point!
given the marital theme of the film, I think the outfit works.
I like the hair & the make-up but the dress is plain horrible. I have never liked such gowns with shoulder cut-outs.. they just somehow always end up looking tacky & tasteless. Adding to the woes is that layered skirt. Maybe that is just me, but the look is very Katrina-like; A bit of a snooze.
I love this look. The color is so becoming on her plus makeup is on point. I am not liking the earrings as smaller ones could have made the look fuss free and more cute but still overall it looks pleasant to the eyes.
Yes it did look like it was a bit too much just for a trailer launch but can’t deny she looked lovely.
I agree with Sherry . Look at the big picture , she looks very pretty . If you zoom in , of course there will be scope for improvement. Sometimes, big picture is enough I think.. we spend so much of our time splitting hair over minor details
Jo.
Alia looks lovely but the outfit is just tacky
The fringe on the sleeves is a downer! And of course, the earrings could have been pearl or diamonds.
Outfit is quite bad.
I don’t mind the red color, but I don’t like the gown itself. There’s too much going on with the gown and the embroidery is not really good. But she looks cute and charming.
Looks like somebody took a pair of scissors to a kimono.
That’s one ugly outfit but Alia fought it valiantly
She looks so damn pretty in that last pic. Too much red but it does suit her fresh/youthful face.
I hateeeeeee the outfit !!!!!!!
Actually loved the outfit. Red and gold, so traditional yet with a twist on the young alia. Totes works!
