In La Bourjoisie

Wearing a beaded mesh gown by Kuwait based label, La Bourjoisie, Aishwarya attended the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards 2016. This was another look where I liked the hair and makeup but wasn’t a fan of the gown itself.

Did you love her look at first sight?

  1. Her hair and makeup is perfect but the gown is ruined by that lining. I don’t get this at all. If you are not comfortable wearing a risque gown why wear it at all? Bollywood actors select gowns that are sheer or with a decollage and then modify the neckline or add unflattering lining.

  2. I don’t get it in some pics I’ve seen she looks really slim, then here she’s looking quite big again? She seems to change with the seasons:)
Really unflattering dress on her, quite cheap and tacky looking.

  3. Is it me or the gown looks unflattering, she looks bigger than her usual self in these pics. I am on board with the fact that if you can’t wear risque clothes then don’t. Altering them helps no one, neither the designer cause the dress doesn’t look like what it was designed to be, nor the star because it shows they lack confidence and lastly the stylist cause they chose something inappropriate for their client hence making changes to force her into wearing it it! That said neck-up she does look great but pointless since neck down its a mess.

That’s what I think too. You’re neither doing justice to the designer’s creation nor painting a flattering picture for yourself.

  4. Neck up she looks really beautiful. The gown does not look good on Aishwariya but would have looked fantastic on Kangana. Maybe she would have fared better if the gown was lined with black fabric.
