White Out

Wearing a Sukrti & Aakriti suit, Aishwarya attended Shilpa’s son Viaan’s birthday party on Friday evening. We did like the pop of floral that came via the jootis.

    • Why what’s wrong with that?! She looks comfy and elegant. My mom took me to kids parties wearing shalwar kameezes. Was she supposed to wear mini skirts?

        • I’m from Pakistan and almost everyone I know wears Shalwar Kameez to all kinds of occasions and events. Am I missing something here?

        • So progress implies you have to stop wearing traditional outfits?!? You belong to the same camp of people who dissed priyanka for not wearing a sari to the royal wedding. For god’s sake if someone wants to wear traditional or mini skirts, it’s up to them especially at a kid’s birthday party where you just want to be comfy. Progress should be in thinking and outlook not the way you dress yourself.

  1. She looks nice. Hair and lip color are just really, really boring, which is a shame. Her little girl looks cute too; her smile is a lot like Abhishek’s…adorable.

  3. I don’t know if these pics are taken upon entering or leaving, but if leaving, then I am impressed that she managed to attend a kiddie party and emerge intact with a white suit entirely unblemished.

  4. I think she wears clothes the way she wants to. She’s not obligated to please us. That being said, I think she does a disservice to herself, swaddling in layers of pastel with stick straight hair. She can play with her naturally wavy hair, as long as it does not get frizzy. She could wear vibrant colors or prettier pastels, and textured whites. But I will forgive her, just because she upped the game and how, blowing it all out of the park with that one butterfly dress in Cannes. As long as she does that now and then, all is forgiven

  5. Seriously?

I have to zoom in to find out that ‘pop of colour’…nothing interesting about Aishwarya’s styling or makeup!
i love Aradhya’s dress more and that ‘pop of colour’ with Aishwarya is more interesting

  6. For those who keep saying white is for a shok sabha- Aishwarya is not a North Indian – and here in the south, we don’t think of mourning being associated with white. In fact there is no specific “sea of white” at a condolence meet.
